Open Volunteer Roles

(Early-Stage, High-Impact, Mission-Driven)

1. City Ambassador (Community Growth Team)

What you’ll do:

  • Help onboard venues in your city
  • Build relationships with hosts & performers
  • Attend events, network, represent MicMapr
  • Identify trending venues and nights
  • Run small local promotions

Ideal for:

Outgoing people, nightlife lovers, community builders.

2. Venue Outreach Specialist

What you’ll do:

  • Contact venues
  • Introduce MicMapr
  • Assist with onboarding
  • Provide listing support
  • Build city-specific venue databases

Ideal for:

Sales-minded individuals who enjoy hospitality culture.

3. Performer Community Coordinator

What you’ll do:

  • Connect with local performers
  • Promote Verified Performer program
  • Manage performer questions
  • Help collect photos/clips
  • Organize performer-focused events

Ideal for:

People passionate about music and performing arts.

4. Host/DJ Relations Lead

What you’ll do:

  • Build relationships with karaoke hosts
  • Help manage venue event data
  • Assist hosts with setting up profiles
  • Provide feature feedback from working DJs

Ideal for:

People familiar with bars, events, or hosting.

5. Social Media Content Creator

What you’ll do:

  • Create fun TikToks, Reels, Shorts
  • Spotlight local venues, singers, and nights
  • Post event recaps
  • Collaborate on campaigns
  • Use trending audio and creative hooks

Ideal for:

Creative minds who understand short-form content.

6. Brand Designer / Graphic Artist

What you’ll do:

  • Design graphics, banners, templates
  • Support merch creation
  • Create promotional assets
  • Assist with brand consistency

Ideal for:

Designers wanting hands-on, portfolio-grade work.

7. UX/UI Contributor

What you’ll do:

  • Review app layouts
  • Give UX feedback
  • Suggest new features
  • Assist in wireframe creation
  • Evaluate flow consistency

Ideal for:

Design, product, and creative thinkers.

8. Copywriter / Storyteller

What you’ll do:

  • Craft microcopy for app UI
  • Write blog posts and venue spotlights
  • Help refine brand voice
  • Support marketing language

Writers who love culture, nightlife, and storytelling.

9. QA Tester (App & Web)

What you’ll do:

  • Test new features
  • Report bugs
  • Suggest improvements
  • Validate UI consistency
  • Stress-test onboarding

10. Street Team Member (Local Activation)

What you’ll do:

  • Visit venues
  • Hand out cards or QR codes
  • Promote local nights
  • Help venues claim their listings
  • Spread awareness in your city

11. Data & Listings Assistant

What you’ll do:

  • Help verify new venue submissions
  • Maintain city event accuracy
  • Assist with weekly event updates
  • Organize data inside your city

Ideal for:

Researchers, organizers, and detail-driven individuals.

12. Community Moderator (Safety & Support)

What you’ll do:

  • Review reports
  • Maintain safe community behavior
  • Filter inappropriate content
  • Communicate with users politely and professionally

Ideal for:

Responsible, empathetic, level-headed individuals.

13. Early Contributor Board Member (Invite-Only)

What you’ll do:

  • Offer guidance
  • Represent your city or specialty
  • Assist in roadmap shaping
  • Provide insight directly to the founder

Ideal for:

Leaders who want to impact the direction of a global platform.
